    Default Locked up my motor

Title says it all, my Merc 25 decided to self destruct this weekend. It's to the point where it is not fixable. I am in search of a 25hp outboard for my bateau. If any of you have one or know of one please inbox me.

My 25 Mercury did that last spring. It's fixable, but not worth it when I can buy a used one cheaper.

Thanks guys, I was hoping to remodel my bathroom with my leftovers from my tax return, looks like I'm buying a motor! Good thing I'm a single man
I've been eyeing a Yamaha 4 stroke 25hp if any of you have one I would like to know if you are satisfied with it.

I have fished with Freebird which has a larger 4 stroke.. that motor runs so quiet at lower speeds I couldnt hardly hear it run only a couple of feet away ---- less chance of spooking the fish in shallow water, Not to mention mixing the right fuel ratio. I have always thought there was small amounts of unburned oil in the exaust deposited in the water. If so the 4 Stroke would be better for Enviorenmental reasons,,, But I am no expert

I had a 115hp four stroke Suzuki and loved it. When I get another one I hope to get the same motor. But whatever I get it will have to be a four stroke.

I have had two Yamaha Four Strokes.....first one was a 115.....the one I have now is a 90.....I love them....fuel injected, no carbs to clean, no oil to mix....just service it once a year and go on. Always starts easy no matter how cold, very quiet, very light on gas.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Sorry to hear about that Mike. These folks are right, the EFI four strokes are the way to go.
