    Default Big Lake (10-17-13)

Well after I had talked myself in and out of going fishing (you old timers will know what I am talking about ) I decided to take my canoe out for a maiden voyage to big lake Thursday afternoon. Of course hearing a guy go by and telling my neighbor that they caught 60 trout the day before helped! Fished closed to the camp until I saw a few birds working so I paddled out that way and glad I did! Ended up with 4 different species.....Redfish, speckled trout, sand trout, and on the last cast I got a flounder. So I got my Cajun grand slam!!! Here is the picture along with a few pictures of my ride and I didn't get a great picture of the sunset (didn't have the camera with me) but I took one when I got back to the camp. All fish were caught in less than an hour.

That's a big flounder. I don't keep the white trout, to mushy if you freeze. I am going to stop there on the way to my camp to fish for a few hours next week. I'll pm you before I go.

No Gene, this one doesn't leak. Just doesn't feel right but when you feel the tug on the other end of the line, all that goes away!
