Barbe vs West Monroe footoball game

Any of yall coming down to watch the Barbe/West Monroe football game friday night? I know you guys have revenge on your mind! Anyway if any of yall are coming down give me a holler, I will probably be at the game since my daughter goes to Barbe now.

Barbe is an excellent time once again this year. I figure they'll stay on top of the rest of the season. Ya'll should beat them even though they are known for their recruiting, or should I say selective housing :rolleyes:

Man was this a wet game! It should have been canceled. It was suspended for about 30 to 40 minutes b/c of lighting but by the time it resumed, the lighting was worse than when they stopped the game! This was one that I was ready to leave at half time but I stayed for the entire game. Barbe looked really good and West Monroe really needed a passing attack and it showed. Not trying to ditch West Monroe b/c they are a relly good program also but when it is 3rd and 17 and you try to run for it, well that tells me you don't have a passing attack. I don't think I saw them throw more than 2 or 3 times the entire game.

It bet is was fun. And no, should not have been canceled - that's what football is all about. Told you that ya'll should beat them, and you did. You guys will be in the dome.

On another note, Kevin Faulk has returned home to Carencro after retirement (lives here in the country close to me). He is now offense coordinator at Carencro just for fun. We will rise once again in a year or two. Makes me feel old remembering watching him as junior at Carencro at the dome when we won the championship.

No game is worth risking kids life's over! There was quite a bit of lighting that night! I don't mind the rain or weather but I DO mind the lighting!

Okay Dwayne, I understand what you are saying. Football is what it is, and will (I hope) remain the same as it has been for the past 100 years. Those who don't want to participate, or attend, don't have to. Those that do, will. Just saying.........

No harm Randy and I didn't mean anything ugly. Hope you didn't take it that way. I agree football should go on and I would normally be the last one to want a game canceled (I always stay until the last second has expired) but this game the lighting was getting a little crazy. Without the lighting and a down pour coming down, by all means let the game continue!
