I was up there last Sunday visiting a friend a little further east on the Vermillion River at his camp. It's beautiful around there, I wish I could get Linda to move.

Congratulations, Gene. I used to eat pickled okra but haven't had any in years.

Looks delicious Gene. Tony's seafood deli sell a dish like that here. They put shrimp and sausage in it. I call it "almost gumbo". Only thing missing is a little roux. (I do pretty good cooking it at home, also)

You had to have been very close to where I live. My place is there on the Vermillion River.
