I have contacted the Corps of Engineers, LDWF, US Senators Mary Landrieu and David Vitter, US Representative Rodney Alexander, LA Congressmen Pylant and Riser about the Cross Bayou weir failure. I also called Paul at the Lodge as I believe that they have some pull with the Corps. Please do the same and contact anyone else that you may feel has some stroke to get this repaired as quickly as possible. The lake is already below the lowest summer stage that we ever have. I know that it is winter and we will get more rain and that water can come back in from the canal possibly some this spring, but we are going to have a serious problem if they do not fix the structure sooner than later. I figure the louder we yell the more likely something is going to get done.
