Took the family to constance beach for vacation last weekend. We crabbed and played on the beach. The real kicker was this, all the fish we caught ( flounder and ladyfish) was caught on pink crappie jigs!!! Not anything on the 50 bucks worth of softplastics and spoons! Plus its amazing how far an 11 ft jig pole can throw two 1/8 ounce jig heads! Lol. So keep in mind to bring your faithfull white perch jigs!!!

Lafleur's Charlie

I developed this variation of Bob Nauheim's Crazy Charlie in the early 90s, utilizing hobby materials that have since become better known as fish fur and estaz. The concept was to build on the proven body format of the charlie, yet give it greater flash and appeal to specks and reds. It's proven to be one of the best all-around flies down on the Louisiana coast.
