Bobcat? They only two bobcats that I have ever heard of, one is the 4 legged cat that roams the woods and the other is a 4 wheel or tracked machine used in construction work... Is this bobcat you are referring to some sort of boat?

Johnny, I'm sure he's talking about pirogues. They make them in Gloster. I've got one I've had since for 25 yrs. It's been a pretty good boat for bream fishing in shallow water around trees.

Johnny- Got Mag 1 with trolling motor , just like the one in the pictures, that I use on Bundick regularly. Son borrowed my first one years age- never cane home- had to get another. Very stable- at 72 I still can stand to shoot ducks or to fly fish. Love them.
I bought a Bobcat years ago and did a lot of deer hunting out of it in the backswamp. I liked it a lot, but I had a pedestal seat in it and found the very low boat profile to be rather unstable. It wasn't so much the boat flipping over as me falling out. I finally sold it and bought a Water Moccasin (their factory is just down the road from Bobcat). Its distinct arrowhead shape and higher sides are much more stable and it has about 200 pounds more carrying capacity for the same size boat. No matter what you get, I would strongly recommend using a bow mounted trolling motor rather than one built into the stern. If you go over a tree top or limb, a limb can get stuck between the stern motor and rudder and then you're really in trouble. A bow mounted motor makes the boat much more maneuverable and you can just pull it up and skim over tree tops and limbs.
Ok cool... I had heard about the moccassin, but never the bobcat. It looks to be similar to a kayak. Thanks for the info.
