put in at tamarac. there were 50 boats in the water allready at the wildlife. two bass and two crappie tourneys all putting in at the same time. went up river a bit and fished a deep cut all day. found fish in 9 to 3 foot. caught them steady all day. by 11:00 we were culling 15 ounce fish trying to improve our poundage. newkid finally put a 1-14 in the boat and old simple did manage a decent fish to help out. our 6 fish total was 6.99. first place was 7.14. we finished 2nd again with big fish honors. fish started off shallow and went deeper as the sun came up. color seemed to become less important as the day flew by. only caught two white perch all day. got ready to throw one back and the "kid" said wait, that one will cull. i had my doubts, but sure enough, 1lb. even and a 15.5 went to freedom. that guy is something. if you can tell a half ounce from 18 ft. away you've seen a lot of crappie. thanks kid, had a ball. sorry for the late post, but the old man was worn out.
