Nice
We visited High Rock today and the bite was light but good. We didn’t keep count but I’d guess seventy to eighty were caught. We culled at ten inchers and brought fifteen home. All were caught on jigs in the shade and under or close to docks. We tried some open water fish but didn’t have any luck on those.

Thanks for the report. I’m tempted to travel to the Rock but I’m afraid I’ll like it too much and have to fish it more. I’ve got to where the drive to the lake and home isn’t much fun. I’d end up with almost as much highway time as fishing time.

No doubt, if you go you'll like it. The lake really is full of Crappie. If you'd have been with us, we'd probably have caught a lot of the open water fish we tried. You seem to have that mastered. I believe we need to use heavier jigs for that. The 1/32 and 1/16 is perfect for use around the docks.

I hit High Rock last week and had luck all over the lake although fish were more concentrated further up the arms. I focused on roamers as they were better fish and would occasionally run across schools that I would chase for a bit. Brush had fish on it but quickly found out I could load the boat with 9 1/2" fish, virtually no 10"+'s.
Predominantly use 1/16 with no issue (unless super windy) but if I'm finding most of my fish in the lower part of the water column, I'll use another 1/16 tungsten bullet weight for a faster drop.

I'm goin back to HR tomorrow. Any tips on where they are now? (Besides in the water....)
I've got a co worker going with me and he needs some for a fish fry. I'm hoping the docks have lots of "eaters" on them.

Water down 4.68 and falling. Potts Creek is probably not an option. Main channel from Shrine Club down past 2nd creek should have fish. Abbotts Creek back toward the tiny houses should have fish. Lots still on brush. With falling water, the mouths of the creeks and main channel would be my guess. Good Luck!

Today was good. We probably caught a hundred fish. We found a school of crappie in a creek and caught several as we continued in the creek channel. Towards the back they stopped being crappie and were white bass. It was a lot of fun and fast and furious. After we got our fill of them, we went to other spots that we normally catch ‘em at and had little success. Later in the day we went to other to a different creek and holy cow, it was loaded with crappie. The size there was considerably better than the first so we seen about an hour there steadily picking through the better ones. When we got home, there was 19 in the livewell.
