I watched a video on this topic last night. The Lowrance had a greater distance but was a little harder to read. I would assume you would get use to it if used more. The Lowrance was picking up and reading the guys buoy marker line at 90' if I remember right.
I think I watched the same video but I couldn’t read much off the lowrance might just be me but the Garmin is easier to read

You most certainly can use it for trolling. I like it a lot. Can see them coming and adjust the depth of your baits, etc. Worked great yesterday.

Humminbrid has got one they call Humminbrid live. In my opinion it will be better then live scope because you can use it on down or side view.Quote:
