Thread: High Rock Saturday

We were 2 of the many at High Rock Saturday.
Caught this 7.8 lb striper in Flat Swamp 17 FOW. Using a Improved Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 7 ft w/ 6 lb test line, an ultralight Daiwa reel and a 1/16 oz Chart/blacl/pink squirrel tail crappie jig. Took about 7 minutes to get him in, and he had the rod bent into a U most of the time.
When I hooked him and he took off on the first run, I told my wife "I don't think this is a crappie.."
