Back on Norman this morning, it was 26 when I hit the water. Fished 2 hours and not one bite didn’t even mark bait. So I loaded up the boat back on the trailer and headed down the road to the opposite side of the lake. Back on the water at 12:30 and the wind was terrible. Finally around 2:00 I found the fish stacked like pancakes and not one bird was diving. At 3;45 I had my limit , as I was putting up my rods the last one out went down and was screaming. Felt like I was pulling on a Volkswagen, as it came to the top it was 11 pound blue cat. I caught it on a umbrella rig with 12lb test and 3 out of 5 hooks was pulling it sideways. As I was taking the hooks out to release it that sapsucker stuck me good with its side fin. Made me so mad I told him I would have the last laugh when I put him in a pot of hot grease then I would bite him back. Got to go to Lumberton to see the wife’s family Thursday thru Sunday if weather permitting hope to be back at em on Monday. By the way my birthday is on the 21st so if any of y’all would like to send any gifts like A-Rigs or paddle tail baits just send me a PM and I’ll send y’all my address. Just saying. Hope y’all have a good weekend and catch some fish.
