Jordan Aug 1
On the lake at Ferrington Point at day break this morning. Crappie were scattered with no pattern except !4ft in 14ft of water. Water temp 84* and clear. Almost no wind. The bite was slow but steady. The fish were very active and slammed the rod when they hit. There were channel cats ??? mixed in the crowd nd some were 2 to 5lbs. I ran out of minnows about 10:30 and called it a day. I kept 6 crappie between 11 and 12 and 4 of the larger cats. Good day for Aug 1.
I do have a question. The yellow meat on the top of the backs of the cats. Keep or discard?
