I知 looking for some good freshwater spots that I can play catch in release on from the bank. My husband is a Marine and we致e been here for several years, but I can safely say that I know nothing about the local lakes. I tried my hand at salt/brackish water fish and I found out that I am a pro at losing my tackle to rocks, so I think I知 going to stick to what I know; freshwater! If anyone has any insight on good places to shore fish in Onslow county, I would greatly appreciate it. Any insight on colors for plastics or rooster tails would be helpful as well! I知 trying to get my daughter into fishing like my dad(you may know him as SkeetBum on here) did for me, but as we all know a bored 3 year old has the attention span of a goldfish and so far our attempts to catch anything have been unsuccessful. We don稚 have a boat/canoe/kayak, but I do have feet and the urge to go drop a line. Thanks in advance!
