    Default tar river reservoir

With all the rain creating high muddy waters this winter I started visiting Tar River Reservoir. Now I find myself going back despite Jordan or Harris being 15 min shorter drive. THe place is loaded with crappie. My understanding is it is about half white and half black crappie. Nice sized fish in there too. Went yesterday and a buddy stopped counting when he hit 30 and that was early in the day. Nice thing this winter was I was rarely fishing deeper than 15 feet vs 30+ I usually do at the big lakes.

I was wondering how the tar river reservoir looked. I haven't bothered to fish there since Florence due to all the rain and high water. Are you fishing on the Dam end or running up the Sapony Creek arm? Last time I was there I caught several bass and white perch.
