Had a pair of guided trips, and without sugarcoating it, fishing has been a lot like work the last few trips. The bite has significantly dropped off, but a few fish have been had if you put a lot of miles in the boat.
12-30 we ended catching 8 hybrids fish with 3 being fat keepers. One was the biggest one ive had on my boat to date. Officially 6.20 lbs. Not to mention the variery of spots and perch. Fished around Madmax and reelsmoke the last hour of the day and they were kind enough to throw my party a keeper fish to round the day off.
New years eve, picture perfect conditions with fog, drizzle, ect ect and the fishing was even tougher! Started the day off with a personal best lake norman unicorn (largemouth bass) at approx 5 3/4lbs.
Once again put a lot of miles on the boat and the fishing was sub par to say the least. Ended the day with approx 10 fish.
For those who are interested in the A-rigs, i have about 15 left before i briefly pause making them while i fish a bit. Let me shoot me a message if interested and ill get them out promptly.
