Lake Hickory 5/2-5/3
Fished Hickory the last 2 days, 3 hours on the 2nd and 5 today. Found fish staged in about 6-8 feet of water, some males, with their tuxes on and some females, I was casting 1/16 oz pony heads with black/blue tail sliders, seemed to be the only color they would hit. Caught 5 the first day, shady side of docks, and 5 again today, mostly on open banks, not great numbers but decent fish. Water temps ranged from 59-63, all fish were in same general depth range regardless of temp, no fish caught any shallower than 4 feet, talked with some guys longlining this morning and they had around 15, not sure how deep they were fishing. Hope this helps someone find some fish, oh and water had some stain to it.
