I am going to hopefully put that theory to the test this weekend and fish for shellcrackers similar to how I spider rig, but using night crawlers and crickets instead of minnows. We will see how it goes.

Caution, bluegills will likely make a mess of your spread when they feel the hook. They are known to feel like you hooked into a little outboard motor lol.
