    Default Harris 3/29

Fished Sharon Harris yesterday. I expected the fish to start to come shallow considering that the water was 55°. The only Crappie I caught were in 33-43ft of water. I tried everything I normally fish but they were still extremely deep. All 4 keepers were close to 1.7lbs, I lost one at the boat that was close to 3 lbs.... thought it was a cat and was horsing it up... that hurt.

I fished Harris today and had no luck with any crappie. Caught a couple catfish in 8-12' of water. Temps were between 58-60 degrees today and I have no clue where they are at or where I should be looking. Thoughts? I fished 40 foot of water all the way to 4 foot and nothing.

We fished Harris yesterday and did pretty well ( so did the other guys in the tournament that fished there as well). Fish were in 2-8' of water. There were 4 7 fish stringers that came out of there over 11.5 lbs and the winner had close to 14.

I did fish in the afternoon because the last few Saturday mornings have been crazy with just a single boat ramp in use. I am fairly new to crappie fishing. I do a lot of catfishing, but have always struggled with finding crappie consistently. I hope after lunch to try and get out again and try something new. I have been the last two days and only a couple crappie to show for it. Again, not looking spots, just trying to consistently find crappie.

Holleman ramp is still closed as of two days ago. The sign didn’t give an open date. Just “closed until further notice”
