    Default High rock question

New to the site and loving every minute of being a member. Great site looks like wonderful people.

Headed to high rock this weekend. Not looking for specific holes just wondering what stage they are in. Only get maybe 2 trips a year so any details on how they are acting would be great. Hopefully this warm weather will help us and get to catch a bunch. Thanks to any info you guys want to pass on.

Water temp was low 50s a couple weeks ago. I doubt it has warmed up much since then but I would still go for deep water.

Tried them today, started early, caught a few tater chips and a couple of keepers and that's it. The water was 53 to 55 and the fish were deep 18 ft in 23 ft of water. They bit kinda like a bream. Would take it and move off fast. Good luck to whomever goes .

Thanks for the info. Been very slow with only 3 bites and no fish. Do I give up on jigs and go to minnows. That is the question of the day.

I would not completely stop all jigs but would definitely would switch to minnows. Run 2 rods with jigs and the rest with minnows all the way on the bottom .5 to .7 mph.
