    Default High Rock

Caught these last Friday on high rock. The wind was 15 mph and 20 mph gust and cold , the water temp was 52.3. Found these in 20-21 fow fishing 16 foot deep spider rigging. Fishing with jigs at .58 mph with 2 oz weights , it was so windy that was the amount of weight it took to keep my line straight down in the strike zone. We didn't get started until 12:30 and it took me about an hour to figure out a pattern on the fish and where they were at. We keep 48 fish between 10"-13" here are a few pictures.
With all the rain , cold temps , and wind these fish were pushed off the banks back to deeper water

Did you attach the 2 ounce weight to the line or was it a 2 ounce jig? A 2 ounce jig would be pretty big. I've been marking quite a few fish in the 19' to 25' as of late. May be a solution.
I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!

Fell-N-Crappie you so funny. Using 1/8 oz jig heads and 2oz sinkers that particular day due to gale force winds. Most of the time I use 1/2oz sinkers if I'm sider rigging depending on the depth I'm fishing and the speed I'm going. The deeper I have to fish and the faster I have to go the bigger the sinker. I long line most of the time but I couldn't get the them to bite that day on that particular method so I changed it up on them and sider rigging was what they wanted with dark colored jigs
