    Default Tuff day today

Went to Lkn today to chase stripers. I chased them suckers all day and only had 2 keepers. Guess that's better than being skunked lol. The fish were scattered and the ones I found were small little buggers. Hope to get after them again after this rain moves through.

You caught little stripers? I was under the assumption that the Commission stopped stocking striper because the water quality is terrible during the summer months. I wonder if the renegade stockers are back at it???

We caught big stripers and hybrids last week. Little fish yesterday were hybrids. My understanding is they stock only hybrids now but we still are catching a few stripers

Stripers will always get in LKN, but just a small #.

I catch a few 14-18 inch fish every spring down on the S end of the lake which tells me that they slip through the lower dam. And i also catch a good few hybrids in Mt. Island every spring.

They sure can move around when given some high water. Heard of some really quality rockfish come from Wylie this year from bass fishermen upriver. They have to have spilled downstream from other reservoirs too.

Seems like the hybrids have been successful.

Can't wait to give Hyco a try for some freshwater redfish. They are going to grow fast in there with all the tilapia.

I have heard that they scrapped the plans for stocking drum there.
