Woke up to a txt sent by a buddy at 2am saying hes sufferimg from a stomach bug and won't be able to fish today. I myself got hit with that "type A" flu that has been going around but decided to venture out there anyways.

Rode uplake, rode down lake, rode in a few creeks and found NOTHING. No life, and water temp is the coldest i have EVER seen on Norman. To at least make a day of it decided to fish where i "expected" them to be.

Did i mention it was cold? 9 degrees in the morning. I dont know how people up north do it.

Made a decent day of it. First fish right off the bat a nice 29 inch striper that fought hard! Thought I was onto something. That was the only good pullage all day.

Ended the day with 1 10lb striper, 6 hybrids, 10 spots and 2 fat perch.

Kept 1 hybrid and the perch for dinner tonight and all else got the release.

Everything was caught down wayyyg deep on my A-rigs 25-40ft deep.

Met countryboy and jigpuller out there and sounded like he too was working hard to make a day of it.
