Default Lake Norman striper 12-26. Final trip of the year

A few weeks back I received a phone call from a buddy of mine who has been slammed busy with work, who also received word that he will be deployed to Iraq for some "secret" plans the government has sometime late February/Early March. He was lucky to be off from the 22 until new years day, so we HAD TO make a trip happen. Rain or shine we were fishing today.

Not going to deny it, the morning was pretty tough. Picked up a few peckerheads here and there. At about 9am or so the fish finally woke up.

Didn't "burn them up" today, but it was indeed pretty steady.
Highlight of the day was a double we had of a 25inch striper, AND a tagged hybrid. #3 for my boat.

Final tally for the day was about 15 hybrids, 1 striper and a handfull of spots/perch. He had a request to get enough fish for a nice cookout and we delivered. Some of these hybrids were 22.5 and 23 inches. We fished 5 different spots, and caught fish in each of them.

A very rare day where the ONLY color these fish were hitting was Chartreuse. AT least 8 to 1.

Hope all had a great Xmas! Norman is picking up.!
