    Default Bobber stops


    Know most folks trolling jigs or crankbaits, I've been learning it and doing well. Still enjoy anchoring/tying up and dropping minnows. Been using the string bobber stop knots, even tying my own, but fishing deep 8+ft we get lots of "hangs" on the reels. Bought some of the rubber stops today and gonna try soon, anyone had much experience with these or another type of stop? Thanks for input.

    I have used both the small rubber ones shaped like eggs, and I have also had good luck with the ones that you feed the line through. they don't get hung up in the reels very much. Bass pro has them :

    Try some of these. There is a short learning curve on how to get them to snap but once you master it everything works great. IMHO they are better than the football rubber ones because they have a smaller diameter.https://fishingurus.com/smart-stop-m...ber-stops.html

    The rubber football works good if you have them on 10lb line or bigger and the eyes of your rod are big enough. I use 4lb and 6lb line and ultra light rods with small eyelets. They tend to slip a lot. I am looking for different types also.
