Mt island lake 6/9/17

Haven't had much luck the month of May. A lot of rain and a lot of water moving through the lake has made it difficult the few times I gave it a go. Put out lights for a couple hours Friday night. Perch and some small striper were hanging around in the upper column with a few good size crappie 15' or deeper. Kept 6 crappie around 10 to 13" and 8 decent size perch to go with em. Crappie were caught on jigs and minnows. The later it got the better the bite but also more yawning and thoughts of a comfy bed.

I miss fishing there. Never done much with the crappie but done well with the cats.

Did JP actually catch any? Just looking for verification. Word has it is that he's a pretty good fisherman, but he always has an excuse for not coming with me! JK Glad you guys caught them.
