    Default Jordan White Bass

Went crappie fishing yesterday at Jordan but ended chasing white bass. I was slow trolling then fish just started slamming the top of the water and at first I just figured it was white perch. I threw a spoon and instantly hooked up. For the next hour or so it was non-stop action. Ended up catching around 26 with the smallest around 14". Man those things can put up a fight. My wrists were sore when it was time to leave. They were constantly knocking shad a good foot or better out of the water all around me. I'm just hoping they stick around next weekend because that was a blast.

Cranks would not have worked yesterday. I was throwing a spoon and reeling it fast to keep it right at the surface. If I slowed it down and dropped the depth they would not hit it. I wish I would've thrown a jitterbug or a tiny torpedo to see what they would've done.

That's what I was thinking too. The largest fish on top I can't make out any stripes, but it might be just the angle of the picture. Very nice catch, and to see em on top I feel sure that was exciting. Thanks for sharing

There are a couple of large perch in there too. They have a little bit of purple color on the bottom of their head. I wish I had a picture of me holding one of the bass to show the stripes.
