    Default Jordan or Harris

Anyone been out on Jordan or Shearon Harris lately? I'm looking at taking my wife on Friday if the doctor gives me the OK.

Lot's of good fish caught on Harris at the tournament on Jan. 14. My brother caught a bunch of good crappie on Jordan the day before. You might have to look a little while, but once you find the fish, it can be fun.

Me and my son went this past Saturday to Jordan and fished from 9-3:30. We ended up catching around 50 ,we had 35 keepers we only kept 18 of them ,that were between 12-14 inches, really good day on minnows. I will give you this word of advise we were not in that big group of boats under and around 64 and the fish were not as deep as you would think.

Ya I was thinking that they would be moving into shallower water with this warm water and rain that we are getting. That water has to be warming but I do appreciate the advice and I will make sure to bring some minnows. Thank you and congrats on your catch.

I'm new to crappie fishing and have gotten skunked recently under and around Fearington and Ebeneezer bridges. I fish from a yak and I recently tried minnows and always throw some grub tails, and have been using my new fish finder. Have you been getting on schools around 64? I figure looking for schools is my best option due to my small kayak and only having four rods. Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks.

I am headed out tomorrow, I am about in the same boat as you unfortunately. Moved here from Michigan and not to familiar with the lakes around here, however I plan on picking up some minnows in the morning and trying my hand. I am not certain if I will be fishing Jordan or Harris but I will let you know how everything goes.

Try 64. You can put in at Seaforth which is near the bridge. They were there good a couple weekends ago. Not sure if the warm weather have them moving but should still be some there.

hdusek I went out to Jordan yesterday and fished just east of the 64 bridge in about 28 foot of water, the larger size crappie minnows about two feet off bottom landed me about 30 fish with 14 of them being keepers. this was my first time spider rigging with minnows and with only four rods I had a lot of fun, hope this helps you and good luck.
