Default Looking for mechanic to work on Suzuki 70hp outboard near Raleigh

I am located in Raleigh, and am looking for suggestions for mechanics that will work on Suzuki outboards. I have a 4 stroke 70hp Suzuki on my Carolina Skiff. It has been bogging down and cutting off at higher RPMs. A mechanic suggested that it is pulling oil into the cylinders, causing the cut off.

We have taken it to Chatlee in the past, but it always seems to take them a LONG time to get work done there. Not to mention the drive is more than an hour each way. The boat has already been off the water for 7 or so weeks, so I would like to get it into a shop very soon. I am looking for suggestions on good, honest, fair mechanics that can work on a Suzuki. Thanks.

My theory with Chatlee is they prioritize service to the boats they sell. But, they do good work. My go to marine service is Pitstop Marine in Angier. They are trustworthy and won't do unnecessary work.

Pit Stop Marine | We offer a full line of engine parts for Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude, Yamaha, and Suzuki engines.
