Pulling A-rigs 5-23

went to run my boat yesterday before i take it to the beach for the summer and thought id try something different.

pulled my home made A-rigs that i used all the time in the cold weather months. No downriggers, no extra lead. straight 20 and 25lb mono.

had a field day. Caught 3 hybrids from 19-22 inches, at least 15 striper and cant tell you how many spots/bass. Kept 1 hybrid for supper and my limit of bass for the neighbor who keeps bugging me for fish and the rest got the release.

Fished from 8:30am until 2pm.

Still have a small pile of the rigs remaining for anyone who is interested. those who fish the Roanoke or Cedar creek, these should work great trolling with the current!

For those that us a-rigs Petes are as good as you are going to find. I can put a lot heavier jig head on them and get them deeper than the cheaper name brand ones.

Dont be like me and get two of these from pete only to realize that you're suppose to bend them out to that shape. I fished 2 Kerr trips without doing this, glad no one saw me haha. Live and learn

Pete How much line did you have out? Were you on Norman?

I only make shad color and Chartreuse. Some days it really varies but its been 50/50 as of late on the bite.

Id guestimate i let out approx 40 or so yards.
