    Default Hickory 4/24

Only got to fish one day this weekend, cause I got to find out Sat that I will have a new fishing partner in the future! Yep gonna have a grandson with me in a couple years Went over to Hickory for a mid day fishing trip, not gonna do that again, to many others on the lake. I did manage to get 4 nice slabs in the rocking boat before I could not stand it no more. Big fish was 15 1/2" 2.5 lb second was 13" 1 1/2 lb and other 2 10"ers. Water temp 72 deg, caught on jigs around dock with brush. Tough day, but a good day!!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Congrats on the fish and the new addition. My oldest grandson is just about old enough to go. He already has two rods and his own tackle box. I just couldn't wait. Traffic can get bad on the weekend. Went to gunpowder about a month ago when it was still a little cool and it looked like highway 321 and those bass fishermen only know one speed. Also think they are all taught to get as close to you as they can when they pass you running 60. lol.
