Jordan lake - 3/12- 3rd Event

What a difference two weeks makes. Our last Event 2/27 the Water Temp was 47 degrees muddy , High and they were pulling water out of the lake very fast. Yesterday the water Temp was 67 to 69 degrees the water color was still very stained to muddy in places. The Lake was at normal Pool. Very few fish were weighed in at our last Event BUT what a Day we had this week!! 27 Boats showed up to Fish and to continue to Qualify for the Championship on April 9 . Lots of 2 pounders were weighed in and a pile of pound and half to pound and three Quarter Fish. The winds were light and the Sun was in and out and the fish were on fire. The Fish were Pretty much in 10 ft to 1 ft of water . I don't think or can remember if the Winning has ever won one of our Events before but they were due . They always show up no matter what the weather or lake conditions are they are there. So Congrats to the 1st place Team of Alan Cox and Josh Hunt they weighed in 7 Fish at 12.900 lbs and a Big Fish of 2.275 lbs. Awesome catch ! 2nd Place went to the Team of Freddie Sinclair and Frank Garner with 7 Fish weighing 12.590 lbs and a Big fish of 1.960 Lbs 3rd place was Kenny Moody and and Monty Juctice with 7 Fish at 12.360 lbs and also had the Big Fish of the Day with a 2.45 lb Monster. 4th place Team of Chad Meeks and Stephen Pendergraph had 7 Fish weighing 11.565 lbs 5th place went to the Arnao Brothers Bob and Steven who had 7 fish at 11.095 lbs . Many other teams with 11 and 10 pounds of fish were weighed in. A lot of fish were put back into the lake to catch another day. We Thanked God for such a Blessed Day and for His Son Jesus and what He did for us . We shared from Gods Word about Jesus healing a man with leprosy . How the man came and kneeled down on his knees before Jesus . Jesus touched him and healed him. Have we come to Jesus on our knees 1st for Forgiveness of our Sins and to be healed from our Sinful condition that separates us from God. 2nd for those we know who need healing in their lives for Spiritual and Physical healing. Has Jesus touched you. Have you gone to Him on your knees . Has He touched you ? Is Jesus in your life. What a day of Fellowship On and Beside the water it was . Thanks for all the help with setting up and taking down equipment . Next we go to Falls Lake In Durham . We will be taking Entries at Ledge Rock Landing from 5:30 am to 6:45 Am and weigh in at the same spot. Hope to see you there ! I will post directions to Ledge Rock this week !! I had a great time! Thanks for putting this on and welcomeing amuratures like myself! I really enjoy fishing and talking withe everyone. As it happens. I may not be ble to fish next weekend BUT the planets may alighn just right. Regardless, I'm gonna study more maps and make a plan!

WOW--what a weigh-in. I have personally never seen so many large crappie weighed in ever in my life. I helped Rod write down the totals while he weighed them and I think the majority of teams weighed in over 7 pounds. When you have three teams weighing in over 12 pounds, that is an awesome day on the water. I had a personal best crappie at 1.90 lbs. and I thought it was big until I saw all the 2+ pounders weighed in. It was a great sight to see so many teams and so many of them weighing in good fish.

Big congrat's to Alan and Josh. It was nice to see a couple of good guys finally hit it big. Newly has a lot of pictures, but I just had to add the one below. Hopefully Newly will be able to add more.

Way to go to our .comers for some nice catches. I think everybody had a great time and what a turnout.
