Slow trolled, vertical jigged, fished with minnows and not even a nibble. Fish finder was showing lots of fish but they just were not biting. Guy I was fishing with was throwing a deep running Rapala and caught about a 4 pound bass...other than that we got skunked. Rumor was there was a bass tournament yesterday and 4 boats checked in over 22 pounds and right at 25 pounds won the tournament. All the traffic on the water yesterday may have shook them up. Nobody was catching anything today and more people were working on boats than they were fishing from them. Still nice weather fishing at what the locals call "the dead sea"

Yea. I have trouble there as well. Best I have done for crappie is trolling crankbaits. Don't catch huge numbers of crappie, but catch enought bass and white perch to keep it interesting. One of the students here at school was in that tourny there. They caught a bass about 8.5 lbs and it was second biggest, so guess the bass fishermen did good.
I go up there a couple times a year and have given up on the crappie since I just don't fish it enough to learn the lake. I usually search out schools of perch, if you can find them you can catch them! Usually makes for fast paced fishing with some good eats.
I camp there several times a year and don't remember ever catching any perch. Do you find them on upper end or lower end closer to the dam?
I have caught several perch trolling crank baits for crappie upper end. Near all those metal docks on the right.
