Hi Guys,
I'm new to the area, as I recently moved to Chapel Hill. Looking for a good place to fish for crappie off the bank as I don't have a boat. From what I've heard Jordan Lake seems like a good option. Any other areas? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
And if you are ever looking for a fishing partner on your boat.........![]()

Welcome from Liberty
Welcome to the Triangle! I am currently in Durham, I have been here for almost a year and a half, have not fished any of the lakes here in the past few years. I usually go to tillery and blewett on the weekends. I am only here during the week and go back towards the boarder of SC for the weekends, so I am closer to those lakes. I also don't have a place to keep my boat here which sucks when the weather is nice. I would hit up Jordan or Harris anytime the sun is out!
Fishing is a science, study, experiment, fail, and succeed...then start over tomorrow. Yeah I'm a science guy.

Welcome! As a previous bank fisher, there are quite a few places around Jordan to drown a minnow or jig.

I have been gone from Chapel Hill for a long time. University Lake use to rent boats and the lake was full of nice black and white crappie. I really enjoyed that lake.
