    Default New to North Carolina

I have recently moved from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia to the south part of Belmont, and live very close to Lake Wylie at the Lower Armstrong Bridge. I am mostly a kayak fisherman these days. What's within an easy paddle that can put some tugs on my lines? If the grandkids are up visiting as the weather warms, and I put them on my boat, it would nice for them to see some action as well. Thanks for the advice.

Welcome from Fuquay Varina and a fellow Mountaineer. Let me know when you hook into one of those monster flatheads on Wylie.

I've caught fish all around the Buster Boyd bridge, just need to watch out for the crazies in the summer time.

The "hot hole" is a good place to start. It is up river on the right from the lower Armstrong Bridge. The bridge itself is good place to fish. Welcome to NC.
Enjoy fishing and be a fisherman of men.
