    Default Fish Finder Transducer Location

Anyone running a pontoon with di and si with their transducer mounted just before the motor like the pic that I attached? Just wanted to know if this location would interfere with the sonar? It doesn't look like it but I want to get some opinions from you all.

You'll just have to try it and see what happens. I think that's a little unconventional, but it might work.

the previous owner had it mounted so it must have worked for him.

most pontoons have them mounted behind the toon to protect and also the wash doesn't bother it either. I have been on one pontoon where it was mounted like that and the 2D stayed the same with no fuzz or any issues.

The previous owner only used an old 2d finder. I found on the internet where I can get a bolt on kit/bracket for pontoons. Thinking about going that route.
