    Default Bottom Hugging

I fished 4 hours yesterday at Jordan Lake. Crappie were tight to the bottom in 25 FOW. Almost had to hit them in the head to get a bite. Caught about 60 including the 20 short fish, one hybrid, on green carp and a tiny bream. I had several 13 fish in the livewell and threw a few more back. Black and chartreuse right on the bottom.
80% if the fish I cleaned were female and some of the eggs are starting to separate.
Lake is very high- another couple inches and you'll need boots to get to the dock. Anybody know why they aren't dropping the water level?

Thanks for the heads up! I think I'll throw my $$ in the hat tomorrow. The spot I'm looking at is about that depth

Ya, seen allot of bottom hugging and not eating going on. Matt sent me a video one day with crappie just ignoring bait.

As you can see they have just started letting the water out.

Good day on the water and nice fish. I wish that my local lakes had a better size of fish. I have noted from your past posts that you are a jig fisherman. Just curious as to your method. Are you single casting, spider rigging, or long lining?

The Chief is totally dedicated to the two-hand method--one rod in each hand jigging up and down. You have read correctly--he can put some fish in the cooler.
