1st Annual Lake Jordan/Harris New Year Tourney Results!

What a great day to be on the water! We started off with a chilly morning around 34 degrees and ended up with Sunny day around 56 degrees. We ended up with 11 boats signed up for this event. Thank you to all that came out and participated yesterday. It was great to see all of you and also meet new and make new friends! We had one team drive almost 3 hours to come and fish with us. The main reason that I put this tourney together was to give back to all of the fisherman that have helped me out and taught me a lot of things over the last several years. They have talked to me on the phone about how to catch fish and I have even been privileged enough to have some of them take me out and show me first hand on what to do and what I could do to help improve my fishing. The first Tourney that I ever fished was with "Thebigeyecrappieman". I didn't know what to expect or even how to fish for crappie during the winter and early spring months. After being around this group of guys and meeting some of the Crappie.com guys I knew that I would learn a lot and make some really great friends! So this tourney is just for the guys that I know but also to get the new members out and show them that it doesn't matter if you catch 10 pounds or if you catch 3 pounds it is about the Friendships and the memories that you make along the way. One of the great things about doing this event is getting the kids involved!!! We had 3 youth signed up and fishing yesterday! We had Kelsey Justice, Ellie Stack and Evan Stack. Thanks to the parents for getting these youth involved!! Thanks to all that donated as each of these youth received a package including a lot of items that were donated! So here we go with the results of the action yesterday!!!

1st : Freddy,Blake and Newly 10 pounds .07 ounces
2nd: Kevin(Gobbler) and Ben 9 pounds 7.45 ounces
3rd: JC (Speckle75) and Joey 8 pounds .60 ounces

Big Fish goes to Freddy(Slowtroll) Blake and Newly 2 pounds .045 ounces!!!

Hey guys thanks for the good time that was the first tournament I have fished and my kids and I had a good time. To the ones that gave me some good advice thank you. Again thanks Shane for doing that. Hope to do it more

aside from the crappie biting real well, the highlight was hearing jordanlimit and hunter catching fish, you would have thought they had scored the game winning touchdown with each good fish they caught, i just knew they had about 12lbs, i had a good time, enjoyed meeting some new folks and hope to do it again next year, thanks to shane and all the sponsors.

and for those of you that didn't make it, harris is real good right now, don't know about everyone else but i was tightlining minners and jigs 20' over 22-26' water, water temp was 58* and was slightly stained, i honestly figured the fish would be shallower but that wasn't the case, watch the screen and when i would come over a ball of shad usually a couple rods would go down, caught several doubles on the same rod, lots of 12-14 ounce fish in that lake, and real big white perch, bring lots of minners we were 2 dozen shy of using a pound.

We (Team Beast) didn't do too bad but had a great time out with the c.c crew. Hope to meet you at one of our events in the near future. The guy in the front of the boat is Jordan Limit, Captian and electronics expert!!!
