    Default New Bern

It's been 3 weeks since I fished but the last weekend up there was pretty solid. Ended up catching well over a hundred crappie in about 8 hrs total fishing time. No 2 lb fish, but a nice bunch of 1-1.25 lbers. All the fish I caught was in less than 8' of water, and the temp was in the mid 50's. Charles, we did catch a few Raccoon Perch, but they were not the huge ones that should start showing up anytime.

Jack I may come that way the end of Jsn early Feb. For the perch. Do you get them good off the Neuse or the Trent?

Red, I have better luck in the Trent. I do have a spot that I caught some nice bream in back in June that I think could produce. I'll be glad to try and help you if/when you go, but I'm no expert on the Perch.I just happen to catch some very large ones when I'm crappie fishing in January/February.

If you ever need a co-angler let me know, I'll buy the minnows and gas just so I can watch your skills.

Nice Jack. Very nice. As I'm sure you know, our rivers are flooded again. I did find out the answer to what I was asking you about BSL and it's all good news. Gonna try that soon. Good going.
