Lake Higgins 11-25

Fished Lake Higgins today. Caught 54 crappie, 3 yellow perch, and 1 largemouth. All caught longlining jigs. Water temp was 53 degrees-down 10 degrees from my last trip. The bite was slower. Lot of soft bites and many fish pulled off today. All colors and styles of jigs worked. Fish were mostly small but did catch a couple of 12 inch 3/4 lb fish. Fished deeper water at the start but no bites. Caught all in 12 ft to 15 ft of water. This lake has a lot of yellow perch. Decided to keep a couple. Caught 7 on my last trip. They seem to go for the Electric Chicken color. Good day on the water.
