Lake Tillery and Lake Hickory report

Fished tillery Wednesday and friday. Caught one 21 inch striper an probably 15 nice perch on Wed. Went back Friday with minnows and caught over 100 huge perch. Kept the biggest 60. Had a few 13 inch crappie in the mix, but only 2. Caught in 30 foot of water at about 25 foot deep. Fished Hickory this morning and caught two nice stripers. One 22 inches and one 28 1/2 inches. Fished a little for crappie with the left over minnows, but no luck. Stripers on the flats in 25 to 30 foot of water. I will try to post pics tomorrow.

Went out to Hickory to a few hours yesterday and perswayed four into the boat to come home and have a grease bath. Caught over brush on jig in 30' water.

We tried some brush in about 18 foot of water and didn't do any good. So far crappie are hard to come by on Hickory for me, but when I do get a few, they are usually pretty good size.
