after the weather man scaring me off for for two days .I finally burned half a days vacation. had to hit 3 stores to find minnows (the last two were 20 minutes out of the way).
then the boat would not start .had to swap battery's then after starting swap them back. the fishing was slow at Farrington .fished 5 hours with ten poles, ended up with 10 keepers .
then the boat would not start again.trolled back to the dock in the dark.but it was still better than being at work .it was a beautiful day .I just wish the fish and boat would have have done there part.

Thank a Veteran every chance you get.
At least you went. I let the weather man scare me off too and had to work today and tomorrow. I'm sick of WRAL. If the humidity gets above 70% they think it is raining. Next time they will get it right and I will be wet.
Did you swap the batteries while the motor was running? My understanding on older motors was this could fry your motors charging system at least that's what a mechanic told me after I did it and the boat would no longer charge the battery. I'm not sure about these fancy new motors from this century. I try to always carry jumper cables now just for that reason.
it's still charging to 14.5 v dc.I'm going to put a cheap Walmart set of jumper cables on it .I'm also going to charge it good and have it tested. I'm really glad this did not happen two weeks ago when we were in the ocean
Good report.
