Default Long lining this time of year

Anyone long line this time of year? It's my favorite way to crappie fish but I've never tried it in the dog days. Actually never crappie fished much at all this time of year but I've got a couple days next week that might find me on the water early morning.

I long line most of the time. Lately it's been good for whites. The crappie bite is real slow.

I have friends that do it most of the year with the exception of the dead of winter. I think most piedmont lakes have a thermocline around the 12-15 depth so it makes sense that you should be able to cover a bunch of water and be able to catch em this time of year. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

They kill the crappie in Mississippi this time of the year long lining crank baits. No reason you can't catch them on your lake.

Lake Jordan was showing a thermocline today at 22 ft. Ebenezer to the "S" curves and above!

Love those Solar Bees heating the water!
