Got on the lake around 6 this evening. Went straight to my honey hole but someone else was in the same cove but luckily not in the right spot. I fished one cove over to give them their space but I really struggled to get any bites. As soon as they left I moved to the spot I wanted and within 5 minutes it was on. Caught about 3 dozen over the next 1 1/2 hours mostly on minnows in 12 to 16' of water directly over structure. Only got a couple on jigs this time, wrong color I guess. The largest was just shy of a pound and a half. Sorry no pics this time and all fished were released.
Beautiful weather this evening up until about 8:20ish then out of no where the wind blew so hard I had turn the main motor on because the trolling motor wouldn't keep me away from the bank. It poured the rain for about 10 minutes. Blew over and back to fishing.
Someone ended their day on a bad note at the ramp. Just before dark once I got to the ramp I noticed a pretty big pontoon that had pulled several yards from the ramp and the boat fell off the side of trailer. Have no clue how it happened but that had to suck. Huge tow truck showed up and they were trying to figure out how to pick it back up. Hope everything worked out for them.
