Fishing was slow at least for the crappie, but the white perch wanted to become turtle food by biting my lines. Fished in 27 fow water temps 79deg and caught some crappie down around 12-15 feet deep. Got set up at dark and gave it up when the minnows ran out around 2am. Brought 5 nice keepers home for the grease, hopefully will be better next time, but was a very peaceful, and enjoyable nite on the water.
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners![]()

I gave it a shot about daylight Friday morning, the fish were there but had lockjaw,We got nine but only 4 keepers but nice size.Like you said, the white perch were there in droves.Got several catfish around a pound or more and hooked one line breaker that I am sure was another cat,Gave up about ten when the sun got too hot but a nice morning on the water.
