Polarized sunglasses..???

Over there years I've tried a few of the expensive ones, but really hard to beat the grey strike king glasses in my opinion. I'll use those over my Maui Jim when fishing.

I buy BearKat safety glasses at our local flea market. They claim polarization and are $36/dozen. I can't see into the water with them nearly as well as I can with Strike Kings, but they are cheap.

I'm a cheap sunglass connoisseur and have found the Spider Wire polarized sunglasses sold at Wal-Mart to be really good for the price, that's pretty much all I buy now.

Unfortunately, I am a regular glasses wearer. I need them to see!

About six years ago, I was at the optomatrist and saw they had Oakley sunglasses made for perscription. I was given them in the military as safety glasses way back when and was always fond of them. Just couldn't wear them (until now). I puchased a par (not cheap) with a wrap around style lens. I made sure to get them polarized. I wore those glasses for six years. Cutting firewood, working on my tractor on the farm, in the boat. They saved my eyes on many occasions. Eventually, my perscription changed to a point where I needed a new pair. I bought another pair and could not be happier.

They are not cheap but for those of us that wear perscription glasses everyday, buying a pair from BP or Cabelas is out of the question.
I prefer the Flakjacket model with wrap around lenses. I get a blue mirror finish and ensure they are polarized.

I have no opinion one over the other. I have had Oakley's before, and I've had cheap sunglasses too. My preferance though in any pair is Polarized Amber colered lenses. The pair I have now are some cheap pair that someone left at our house awhile back. They are polarized and have the amber lenses. I like them better than anything I've ever had. One of the hidden benefits with the amber lenses is that in the Fall of the year when the leaves are changing, they make the colors really POP OUT. Get a cheap pair and try them this Fall and you'll be a believer.

I'm too tight to get prescription shades so got a pair of coccon fitovers at BPS. I sure like these things. A tad heavy ,but knocks the glare off the water nicely.
