Kerr Scott Did it to me again

Is it me or what. I cant do squat on Kerr Scott. Fished deep, Fished Shallow. Only one small Large mouth. Is there anyone out there that can give any helpful hints on this lake.

It is not just Kerr Scott, seems like the fish in the lakes around here are just not biting yet. Like Hillbilly said just stay after and they will start to bite!!!

MNGordon, I will try and help you. I have fished Kerr Lake since the early 70's and my wife and I own property there. It is fast becoming just like Sante. It used to be called Crappie Catching as you were assured a nice string if you could let a minnow or jig down in the water around any little brush, fence post, willow bush etc...not so anymore. I call it Crappie Hunting now because that is what you have to do. Stay on the move with the best electronics you can afford. I have a friend who is a guide and I have set in the boat with him and watched him catch 350-375 fish in a day which he releases..he is now catching 6,12, and 20 on a good day. That should tell us something. If they do not wake up and put a creel and size limit inforced strictly it will be another Sante...just a memory. Smiles, G

What do you mean a creel and size limit? it's 20 fish over 8 inches!!!!!!!!!!!! and good luck getting someone to enforce it!!!!!!!!! I've been fishing lakes norman, hickory and rhodhiss for 4 years and been checked 1 time and that was in the parking lot at the access area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe I misunderstood. I thought he was talking about Kerr lake on the Virginia Carolina border. Clarksville, Va. It is the only lake in Va without a Creel and size limit. Did not mean to upset you. Have a blessed day, G

Oh no GKC,I wasn't upset at all, sorry I made you feel that way!!!! I always use alot of exclamation points, guess maybe I shouldn't. Just wish we had alot more Game Wardens. Hope you have a blessed day to.
