I'm looking to go check it out myself tomorrow morning. I'll let u know if they are shallow spawning or not. Last year this time they were shallow already. So I'm trying for the second time this season, first one produce nothing.

Well I did go to Jordan this morning and fish around the pier but to see if crappies hit shallow yet to spawn, NOT a single bite on jigs or minnows. So to answer your question, they are not yet shallow. Hopefully by the end of the week they will be shallow but then again who knows, this time last year I was already catching them shallow. Good luck, let me know if u have any success catching them shallow sometime this week or next week.

Went yesterday afternoon and found some shallow on the banks in several "traditional" spawning areas for the first time this year, but not in full force. Yesterday was pretty much a scouting trip, will be taking my boy out this afternoon and it should be pretty good. I fish the south end of the lake. Water temps were low 60's in the coves.

3 foot of water. Bush Creek was 62.5 today, so a number of the females have already spawned and gone back deep.
