Got two skunks. Water temp Sunday 46 in the Linville channel, up to 49 in the backs of creeks. Water temps Monday in the Catawba channel 50-52.
Found some nice schools of larger fish in 30 fow upstream of Black Bear and I threw the kitchen sink at em. Schools were 10 ft thick on the bottom and larger marks too.
I'm wondering if it was really large gizzard shad.
Saw some largemouth chasing bait on top on a rock bluff.
I think I'm going to quit fishing during a full moon.
Why aren't the fish biting with water temps in the 50's?
