Pete that's awesome. I plan to hit Norman next year and see what I can do. I have a couple of umbrella rigs but I like your setup better.

We troll saltwater sized umbrella rigs here on lake Ouachita.

Nine 2 oz jigs, the entire rig is about 2 pounds. Something like this ...

I picked up a couple of these, that I plan to try with spinner blades on the arms and a big jig in the center.

Definitely not a secret, YUM has had a willow blade out for 2 years now and them boys on Murray will troll the hell out of them year round. Them blades create a lot of vibration and resistance so they are not very fun to cast and reel in, not to mention 50 pound braid and a medium heavy rod, so it will take at least a 26inch fish to have any fun. If I was a guide and your job was to put meat in the boat then they are dynamite.
How big of swim baits can you put on that make?

I am not a fan of the large capt mack style rigs at all. Its a costly hang when you fish a lake with crazy contours.

The difference between my rig and the other Yum rigs is the arms are a little more heavy duty and well, they are not $16 each like you would get at a retail store.

Ive trolled 2.5-4 inch baits no problem. Bucktails and those roadrunner heads without any problems.

I troll these on downriggers with rather light 20lb line. I am not a caster although im sure you could sling it out there.

Those who have s3nt me pms, ill answer as soon as i can. Been fishin all day. Put the hammer on some more Norman fish today with another 10lber making it in the boat. Bluebird skys and all. Report to come

That's some good looking rigs Pete. If I can ever get up with you I definitely want to get a couple.
